College Mathematics

Some medical schools require up to a year of college mathematics. A year of college math that includes statistics (STA 261) is strongly recommended. Most medical schools do not require calculus and is not required by any medical schools in the surrounding area. Generally, it is good advice NOT to take math the first semester.

Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine: none

U. of Cincinnati College of Medicine: one year college mathematics

Medical College of Ohio: one year college mathematics

Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine: none

Ohio State University College of Medicine: none

Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine: none

Wright State University School of Medicine: one year college mathematics
